Monterosso-Semaforo-Colle di Gritta: another beautiful hike πβοΈπ

This morning I made another beautiful tour in the hills of Monterosso of about 9.5km: the first part of the hike, it is in the same direction as the trail to Levanto but at the crossroad (wich we call “Semaforo”), I chose “Colle di Gritta” which is the place aboveMonterosso where you arrive by car and splits descending to older part of the town or the new one (where I live and where my properties are also situated).
The hardest part is over here: from this spot you will enter a sort of (small) wood with Mediterranean flora from which you are still able to admire the beautiful coast on the left side….

Arriving at “Colle dei Bagari”, you will have to continue uphill (not steep at all !!!) in order to reach “Colle di Gritta” and then descending by the road which brings you to Fegina. During this part you enter a thicker wood where you don’t have much view anymore but the path is nice, winding, sometime challenging without being too difficult though π

Getting there, you are enchanted from fantastic views on Levanto (underneath) and the tiny colorful villages which look like are ha gong against the side of hills….

A very enjoyable hiking where peace, nature and beauty are linked together as most of the place in this unbelievable region ππ»βοΈπ

Hiking to “Semaforo” (see previous post: http://irisblog.cinqueterreblu.it/2020/11/22/monterosso-semaforo-colle-di-gritta-another-beautiful-hike-%f0%9f%98%80%e2%98%80%ef%b8%8f%f0%9f%98%80/ and walking in the direction of “Colle di Gritta”, you meet a brand new sign to reach Monterosso (Fegina side) cutting down the woods (path nr 513).

I think/guess (and will certainly try it !) the hiking would be “a little easier” and safer climbing it up: going down it was sometime very challenging and even rough (see the pictures below), but it’s a good solution to make a round trip which takes a bit more than 2 hours accompanied by silence and peace of this this beautiful Mediterranean nature.

During the whole way, you will not see any “red/white” signs against trees, stones or walls (as it should be), but when you arrive and see this signboard (here below), you are almost there:

To start the path (from Monterosso, at the very end of Via Mesco), you really have to pass through a private track (for 300m) which looks like this (see the beginning here below) ……hopefully who is in charge of this sector at the City Hall, will take care and make the START sign correctly and easy to see in order to let everybody notice it πππ»

Beautiful walk to Santuario di Soviore ….
Since Wednesday Liguria makes part of the orange π π π zone of Italy and this has unfortunately implied that bars and restaurants were obliged to close to the public and they can only offer a “take away” service; we are also asked to remain in our village and are not able anymore to go to Levanto or La Spezia, except for determinate necessities.
Thank God the weather has been nice and having now plenty of time during the day, I walked this afternoon to Santuario di Soviore on the 509 trail (departing from old village of Monterosso) and coming back on the pedestrian road: I was able to admire great views from the beginning to the end and totally enjoyed my “tour” accompanied by my Golden Retriever who is now sleeping very tight after the 11km (+-) of trip π
(departing from home….)

Walking between Levanto-Bonassola-Framura
Beautiful and easy walk starting in Levanto to Bonassola and all the way to Framura: no climbing, no effort and no heat because many parts are inside the old railway gallery….
