PASTA FRESCA
If you are staying more than a couple of nights (which I warmly recommend….), you can buy fresh Pasta in the old village (up in Via Roma 58, next to Enoteca Nazionale) and enjoy your meal quietly at home…..
You can find fresh made (“mamma” is in the laboratory just behind the shop and you can see her working 😉 “Ravioli, Gnocchi, Lasagne, Trofie” and other Ligurian speciality together with home made sauces (pesto, noci, ragù); also a couple of savory pies, some good quality cold cuts and “dishes of the day”.

“BAR IL GIGANTE”
The best cocktails in Monterosso are definitely at “Bar Il Gigante”: reach the very end of the Sea front promenade, you will notice the statue of the Giant in the rock and the two towers up in the hill….then, you are at the right place 😉
David will prepare for you the most delicious cocktails: don’t hesitate, he will lead you to the good choice …..and this, in front of the most picturesque spot of Monterosso beach…Enjoy the beautiful sunset and the peace of this small Paradise: especially if you have been hiking during the day….this magic moment will refresh you and cuddle you to the next day of vacation….

LA FOCACCERIA – STREET PIZZA: best pizza in town !
It is a very “old” and famous “bakery and focacceria” of Monterosso which used to close at 7.30pm like every other shop….Since easter 2016, at 7.30pm it changes into a delicious pizzeria where you can enjoy perfectly and autentically made pizza’s: Andrea and Lorenzo are the masters in this new and special project and they do it very well 🙂
